Project Objective
The overall objective of the project consists of organization, operation and development of the first postdoctoral school in Romania, which will form highly qualified researchers for applications of genetics, genomics, genetic engineering, bioengineering and biochemistry in conservation and development of livestock biodiversity, including transgenesis and cloning of farm animals, as well as achieving biological models which are compatible with human xenotransplantation, moreover using genotipization for animal food traceability in order to achieve food security and safety for people and animals, in relation to food chemistry and environmental chemistry.
The main objectives of project are:
- increasing access and participation in continuous vocational training through postdoctoral schools for the first time in Romania;
- supporting cooperation among universities, research entities and companies in order to fulfil all set-up and operating requirements for postdoctoral schools in Romania;
- human resources development through and for postdoctoral scientific research, to address the most important scientific areas of policies and strategies necessary for Romania, according to institutional documents;
- increasing motivation for scientific researcher career and stimulating involvement of researchers in performance scientific work, with significant results on creativity, innovation and intellectual property protection, including elite clusters of scientists, according to the European strategy to win a leading place in the global hierarchy of the knowledge society, in particular case of biodiversity and agro-food biotechnology for ecosanogenesis.
The secondary objectives of interdisciplinary multidisciplinary transdisciplinary postdoctoral vocational training involve the same target group including the main professional categories (i.e. biologists, livestock engineers, veterinarians, agronomists, economists, ecologists, chemists et.al.). This people participate in the XXI –st century to ensure humanity's food resources, respecting the principles of bio-economy and eco-economy, such that the man will become a wise partner of nature as manufacturer, regulator and consumer in intensive and / or traditional agroecosystems. |
